Heading to the beach post-midterms? With Coachella coming up stores are flooded with tons of new finds. I’ve got my top picks for your trendy beach friendly attire.
Jean shorts? Nah, try a high waisted jean skirt! Everyone has and will be wearing jean shorts; you don’t want to be like everyone else do you?
Maxi skirts are your best friend. Lightweight, flowy, and an easy chic piece to add to your wardrobe. You can easily slip this on and off if you decide hit a tanning sesh on the beach.
If you’re going to wear shorts, pick up printed shorts. These shorts will easily dress up your outfit and give you a boho vibe. Make sure that there’s something unique about them. Whether it be the print or a small detailing on the sides. However, these shorts are not wind friendly! Your toosh might make a peek-a-boo if the wind shows up.
Chokers all day, everyday. I personally am obsessed with chokers. It’s the easiest way to give your outfit an edge. With beach wear being super minimal, the right choker can give you that extra kick to your look.
Skip the flip flops and find some gladiator sandals. They’re basically the same thing except gladiator sandals look 10 times cuter. Small changes make big differences!
Long satin/silk kimonos. I am all for this look! I have yet to find the right one, but if you spot one be sure to snatch it up. I like to style my kimonos with one shoulder on and the other shoulder off. It’s the easy breezy carefree look.
My style inspo for this piece, Jhene.
Tie-dye shirts are trending! Not feeling the all bohemian vibe? Tie-dye is the way to go. You can cut the collar off to make it into an off-shoulder shirt or crop it by pulling it to one side then grabbing the excess and tying it into a knot.
I hope this has given you some style inspo and you’ll hit the beach looking like a bohemian babe.
